A video circulating on social media showing award winning rapper Emtee in a heated confrontation with the mother of his children, Nicole Chinsamy, has surfaced while he remains before the courts on allegations that he breached a protection order obtained by Chinsam
In the footage, recorded at what appears to be an apartment in Johannesburg, a woman believed to be a domestic worker employed by Chinsamy is seen restraining the rapper in the kitchen while pleading with him not to fight.
As the skivvy holds him back with both hands, Chinsamy can be heard telling Emtee to leave the apartment.
“You can’t come here and just start swearing at me. I don’t even speak to you. I don’t know why you’re here. Can you please leave,” Chinsamy says.
Emtee responds: “I’m leaving.”
Chinsamy then tells him: “You are not going to come here to abuse me. Those days are over. Please leave.”
The rapper replies by questioning her claims before hurling an insult.
“Who abused you? F***ing scammer,” he says before walking away from the domestic worker.
As he walks away, a man wearing a jersey walks towards him and appears to confront the rapper before the video cuts off. It is unclear who the man is or what happened after the recording ended.
The circumstances leading up to the confrontation remain unclear. It is also not known when the incident took place or whether police were called to the scene.
The video surfaced weeks after Emtee, whose real name is Mthembeni Ndevu, made a brief appearance in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court in connection with allegations that he breached a protection order obtained by Chinsamy in 2023.
The protection order prohibits him from verbally abusing Chinsamy or targeting her on social media.
He was released on R1,000 bail on 11 June 2026, and the court later extended his bail after postponing.
