Television personality Blue Mbombo has alleged how she got entangled in an adulterous affair with Lerato Kganyago’s husband, Thami Ndlala.

The alluring digital media creator has also alleged how Ndlala got her ex-boyfriend arrested after she defied his instructions to have him nabbed by the police for violating a protection order.

The explosive allegations, which will send shockwaves across the country, are contained in the interim protection order Blue Mbombo obtained in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court about a month ago.

Ndlala has attached the protection order to the court papers he filed in the Johannesburg High Court, where he is seeking an order to review and set aside the Randburg Magistrate’s Court’s decision to grant Blue Mbombo the restraint order.

In the protection order, which Africa Daily has seen, Blue Mbombo, whose real name is Thandi Dora Mbombo, alleged that during approximately March, April and May 2025, Ndlala pursued “a romantic relationship with me”.

The yellow-bone, Free State-born belle alleged that during their extramarital affair, Ndlala showered her with various gifts, including a Rolex watch.

“I subsequently entertained the relationship for a period of time but ultimately decided that I did not wish to continue the relationship and communication thereafter ceased,” reads the interim order.

She said that in or about January 2026, she and Ndlala, who owns hotels and a mall, resumed communication and that over time, their dalliance became personal again.

She alleged that during this period, Ndlala became increasingly involved in her personal affairs and presented himself as a person who would support and assist her.

“However, his conduct towards me became increasingly controlling and possessive, particularly in matters concerning my personal circumstances and my relationship with the father of my child,” she alleged.

During approximately March and April 2026, she alleged, Ndlala became increasingly obsessed with her former boyfriend and repeatedly involved himself in matters concerning her former relationship.

This conduct, she alleged, caused significant conflict between her and Ndlala because she had noticed that he had begun to make the legal issues between her and her ex-boyfriend his own personal issues to resolve. This did not sit well with her, she alleged.

“In May 2026, my ex-boyfriend had sent me an email, which email was unpleasant and upsetting. When I mentioned the same to Thami, he insisted that we have my ex arrested for violation of the protection order. I told Thami that I did not want my former boyfriend to be arrested on a public holiday or at all, but rather that the protection order court deal with the issue via the attorneys, because I considered this unnecessary and wrong.

“Thami became angry with me and accused me of betraying him. He demanded that I stay out of this and do as he says. I have a recording of such a situation, where he states that the matter is not mine to decide but rather his,” she alleged.

Blue Mbombo alleged that Ndlala subsequently went to a police station and made a statement concerning the matter.

“This statement was made as if it were I who had written it. He returned home with the statement and demanded that I sign it. When I refused, he became angry and advised that the same was going to the attorneys to be used for the protection order and nothing else.

“I subsequently became aware that the statement had, in fact, been used in circumstances that resulted in my former boyfriend being arrested. This caused a serious deterioration in my relationship with Thami,” she alleged.

Blue Mbombo alleged that Ndlala subsequently became angry with her because she no longer wished to communicate with him.

“On or about 1 June 2026, I told Thami during a telephone conversation that I wanted nothing further to do with him and that I was ending the relationship.

“From this point onwards, I attempted to distance myself from Thami and stopped communicating with him.

“After I ended the relationship, Thami continued attempting to force me to communicate with him. I experienced his conduct as intimidating and threatening, particularly because of his previous involvement in legal and police matters concerning people connected to me.

“I subsequently received communications from various people whom I did not know, alleging that I was involved in fraud. I have retained WhatsApp messages and other communications relating to this harassment.

“I believe that this conduct was connected to Thami because of the circumstances in which it occurred and his involvement in matters concerning me,” she alleged.

Ndlala denied that he had engaged in illicit congress with Blue Mbombo behind the back of his doting wife.

He said Blue Mbombo’s description of him as her “ex-boyfriend” was false and that he was married throughout the period in question. He said they only had a professional relationship.

“The relationship between the plaintiff and defendant was professional. The plaintiff was never the defendant’s boyfriend and was never involved in an intimate or sexual relationship with her,” his papers state.

Ndlala said he and Blue Mbombo became acquainted through professional dealings relating to the promotion of his Ndlala Mall.

According to his court papers, an influencer contract was prepared in February 2025 for Blue Mbombo to produce three Instagram reels promoting Ndlala Mall for R105,000.

He said the parties communicated in connection with their professional dealings and that, on 28 March 2026, Blue Mbombo sent him a WhatsApp message seeking his assistance with difficulties involving a person she described as “my partner”.

Ndlala denies making any of the threats alleged by Blue Mbombo.

He claims the allegations have damaged his reputation, good name, standing and dignity.
