DJ Warras Murder Case Moved to High Court as Two Accused Prepare for Trial

Accused to stand trial in Johannesburg High Court over the premeditated murder of DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock

The murder case of popular music  DJ turned businessman  Warrick Stock, widely known as “DJ Warras”, has officially been transferred to the  Joburg High for trial.

Victor Mthethwa Majola (44) and Armando Joaquin Pacula (25) appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder linked to Stock’s killing.

The pair will now stand trial in the high court after investigations into the matter were finalised and an indictment was prepared by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

The former YFM DJ and  SABC 1 LiveAmp co-host was shot and killed outside the Zambesi Building in the Johannesburg Central Business District on 16 December 2025. It is understood that the well-known music personality had just exited the building when gunmen allegedly opened fire on him before fleeing the scene.

He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead shortly after the attack.  DJ Warras ‘s murder sent shockwaves through the entertainment orbit, with  his aficionados and fellow artists mourning his death and calling for justice.

Police investigations later led to the arrest of the two accused. Authorities traced and apprehended the suspects following an intensive investigation by law enforcement agencies. The accused were subsequently charged with premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

NPA South Gauteng Spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole  said following several court appearances in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court, the matter has now been escalated to the High Court due to the serious nature of the offences.

He said a pre-trial conference has been scheduled for 18 June 2026 in the high court in Johannesburg.

Mohlatlole said both accused remain in custody pending the finalisation of the matter.

He added that NPA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice is served.

“The National Prosecuting Authority reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that justice is served and that the matter is prosecuted efficiently, fairly, and without fear, favour or prejudice,”  he said.
