The number of female bodies discovered in Ekurhuleni has risen to nine.
Africa Daily can exclusively reveal that the body of a 30-year-old woman has been found half-naked in Dawn Park on Thursday 17 September 2026.
According to insiders within the SAPS, the woman’s body was found lying in a prone position in an open space on Lama Street in Villa Liza, Ekurhuleni.
The discovery brings the total number of women whose bodies have been found in the region to nine, further fuelling concerns that a serial killer could be on the loose.
According to information received by Africa Daily, police were alerted by members of the public about the lifeless body of a woman in the area.
“The woman was found lying in a prone position wearing a blue shirt and pink underwear, showing no signs of life,” said a police officer who did not want to be named because they were not authorised to speak to the media.
The officer said police were rushing to the scene.
This is a developing story.
