Lekompo artists from across Limpopo are expected to descend on Mahwelereng Stadium on Saturday, May 16, to pay their final respects to fellow musician Mpho Eric Ngoepe, popularly known as Nova SA Style.
According to Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM) chairperson Mphoza Mashabela, the rising star will be laid to rest during a funeral service scheduled to begin at 7am at the stadium.
After the service, the funeral procession will proceed to Mahwelereng Cemetery, where Nova SA Style will be buried.
Mashabela also confirmed that fellow musicians, supporters and community members will gather at the stadium on Friday, May 15, for a memorial service in honour of the late singer.

Nova SA Style died on Saturday, May 9, 2026, after being involved in a tragic accident that also left two other artists hospitalised. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through Limpopo’s music industry, with fans and fellow artists mourning the loss of one of the province’s promising young talents.
In an emotional public appeal, the Ngoepe family revealed that they are struggling financially to cover funeral and memorial service expenses.
“As we try to navigate and put together a dignified send-off for Mpho during this painful moment, we respectfully request donations for the memorial service and funeral arrangements, as the family cannot afford certain expenses due to financial constraints,” read the family statement issued by his mother, Dikeledi Luciah Ngoepe.

The family said Nova SA Style was the breadwinner at home, making his death even more devastating both emotionally and financially.
They appealed to the public, businesses, fellow artists and fans to assist with monetary donations or funeral-related services such as catering, transport, décor and other necessities.
Tributes have continued pouring in on social media, where supporters described Nova SA Style as humble, talented and passionate about uplifting Limpopo music. Many also expressed sympathy for the two artists who survived the crash and are still recovering in hospital.
The tragedy has once again exposed the harsh financial realities faced by many emerging musicians and their families, particularly when tragedy strikes unexpectedly. Despite their growing popularity, many artists continue to struggle financially behind the scenes.
Community members and artists have since rallied behind the Ngoepe family, with calls growing for the public to support them during this difficult period.
The family said every contribution, regardless of the amount, would help ensure Nova SA Style receives a dignified farewell.
