South African football fanatics will no longer have to choose between watching Kaizer Chiefs take on Siwelele FC and following the other Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final action on Sunday after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) adjusted the kick-off time of the match in Polokwane.
The PSL has moved the highly anticipated quarter-final clash between Chiefs and Siwelele from 3pm to 6pm, bringing it in line with the other Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final between Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu also scheduled for Sunday at the Danie Craven Stadium at the same time.
The adjustment follows Sunday's CAF Super Cup fixture involving Mamelodi Sundowns, with the PSL making the changes to accommodate the continental assignment.
In a statement, the league confirmed that both Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final matches scheduled for Sunday will now kick off at 6pm.
The decision means football supporters will have greater flexibility to follow the day's action without worrying about overlapping kick-off times.
Chiefs, who are eager to continue their pursuit of silverware, face a Siwelele side determined to upset the Soweto giants and secure a place in the semi-finals.
The encounter in Polokwane is expected to attract considerable attention, with Chiefs supporters hoping their team can navigate another knockout challenge while Siwelele look to make their mark in the competition.
The Carling Knockout Cup has provided clubs with an opportunity to challenge for domestic honours, with the quarter-finals bringing together eight teams competing for a place in the last four.
Meanwhile, tickets for all Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final matches remain available at R100 each through Open Tickets. The PSL has confirmed that tickets can only be purchased online.
The league also wished Sundowns well in their CAF Super Cup campaign and extended its best wishes to all eight teams competing in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals.
