Polokwane will host the inaugural Hotel & Home Design Fair (HHDF) at the T49 Hangar at Polokwane International Airport from 8 to 10 October.
The fair, organised by Gentry Business Enterprise (Pty) Ltd, will bring together more than 60 exhibitors showcasing furniture, textiles, décor, art and hospitality products.
Gentry Business Enterprise’s Pheladi Masha said the event aims to connect designers, manufacturers and small businesses with hospitality operators, property developers, architects, interior designers and procurement teams sourcing products for hotels, lodges, homes and commercial spaces.
Masha said among the featured participants are MAXHOSA AFRICA, which will curate the VIP lounge and present pop-up displays, Zwakala Brewery, the Azael Langa Foundation and BMW Polokwane.
She said a key focus of the fair will be creating business opportunities for small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs), allowing them to reach new markets and build relationships with potential buyers involved in upcoming projects.
Masha further said the programme will also include panel discussions led by the Design Institute of South Africa (DISA), while an outdoor food and beer garden will provide visitors with a space to network and socialise.
The fair will be open daily from 09:00 to 17:00.
