Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for two men accused of allegedly raping three siblings girls after luring them to a secluded bush area in Khujwana village, near Ritavi.
The incident allegedly occurred at about 11pm on Saturday, 8 August 2026.
According to Limpopo Police Spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba, the three victims, aged between 14 and 17, were approached by two unknown men travelling in a red Toyota Corolla with an unknown registration number.
The suspects allegedly told the girls they were going to a tavern to buy food and persuaded them to accompany them.
However, instead of taking them to the tavern, the suspects allegedly drove to a secluded bush area in Khujwana, where the victims were allegedly forcibly undressed and raped.
The two men allegedly later dropped the girls on a road near a filling station.
Police said the mother of the three victims was contacted at about 3.45am on Sunday by a petrol attendant, who informed her that her daughters were at the filling station and needed police assistance after allegedly being sexually assaulted.
The victims are residents of Lephepane village.
Ritavi police have opened three counts of rape and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Jan Scheepers condemned the incident and said police had activated specialised resources to track down the suspects.
“Gender-based violence has no place in our society. Our Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit has activated all resources to trace and arrest the perpetrators,” Scheepers said.
He urged anyone with information that could assist investigators to come forward.
The suspects are believed to have been travelling in a red Toyota Corolla, but the vehicle’s registration number remains unknown.
