Tickets for Bafana Bafana’s opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Guinea have gone on sale, with fans set to witness the first official match of Pitso Mosimane’s second stint at the helm of the national team.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that tickets for the eagerly anticipated clash are available at R100 for adults and R40 for children under the age of 12.
Hospitality packages are also available as the national team prepares to launch a new era under Mosimane who has since replaced Helman Mkhalele as assistant coach with Morena Ramoreboli.
Tickets can be purchased at https://shop.ticketpro.co.
The match will be played at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, September 26, 2026, with SAFA calling on supporters to turn out in large numbers for the opening AFCON qualifying fixture.
Fans purchasing tickets for children should note that at least one adult ticket must be purchased first, as children’s tickets cannot be bought separately.
The Guinea encounter will be particularly significant for Mosimane, who recently took over from Belgian coach Hugo Broos. It will be his first official match since returning to the Bafana Bafana hot seat.
SAFA president Dr Danny Jordaan urged supporters to back the team as Mosimane begins his latest chapter with the national side.
“We encourage families and fans to come in their numbers to support the team as we begin this new era under coach Pitso Mosimane,” Jordaan said.
Bafana will not have much time to rest after their opening assignment, with the team travelling to Egypt to face Eritrea in their second Group match on Wednesday, September 30.
The match against Eritrea will be played at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo.
South Africa will then remain in Egypt for an international friendly against the hosts at Cairo International Stadium on October 4.
Mosimane has already announced his preliminary squad for the two AFCON qualifiers and is expected to reveal the final squad to the nation in the coming days.
SAFA is also expected to make further announcements as preparations for the Guinea clash gather momentum.
The September 26 fixture therefore promises to be more than just another AFCON qualifier, with supporters getting their first opportunity to see Mosimane’s Bafana in a competitive match since his appointment.
