Three Suspected Rolex Gang Members Killed in Shootout With Police

Three suspected members of the notorious “Rolex Gang” were shot and killed during an intelligence-driven police operation on the N3 near the Buccleuch Interchange on Thursday 25 June 2026.

Police said the suspects had allegedly been driving around various shopping malls in three vehicles and were linked to a failed attempted robbery at Bedfordview Centre, where the intended victim managed to escape.

A multidisciplinary team comprising SAPS Crime Intelligence, the Gauteng Tactical Response Team (TRT), the SAPS Tracking Team, Gauteng Traffic Police Airwing and private security partners tracked one of the suspects’ vehicles, a white Suzuki Swift fitted with false registration plates.

According to police, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspects allegedly opened fire on them, prompting police to return fire.

Three suspects were fatally wounded during the shootout and two pistols were recovered at the scene.

Police said investigations are continuing and more information will be released in due course.
