Reality TV star Blue Mbombo has opened a criminal case for contravention of a protection order against her baby daddy, businessman Tebogo Hendricks Nokwane.
Mbombo, real name Dorah Mbombo, laid the charge against Nokwane at Midrand Police Station on 29 May 2026.
News that Mbombo had opened the case was revealed by a police officer who asked not to be named because he is not authorised to speak to the media. The officer’s allegations were corroborated by a police statement seen by Africa Daily.
In the statement, Mbombo alleged that she went to the businessman’s home with her helper, only known as Mesiwe, to fetch her child. She said when she arrived, she asked her helper to go into the house because the protection order she obtained against Nokwane prohibited her from speaking to him.
“Mesiwe fetched the child at the house and came back with her to the car. Ms Mbombo was not happy with the clothes that her child was wearing, so Mesiwe had to go back to the house. (Name withheld) came out and went to Ms Mbombo’s car and they had an argument.
At about 03:44 she received an email from her ex-boyfriend (name withheld) insulting and harassing her, which led to him violating the interim protection order as per Randburg Court 349/2026. Case docket opened for further investigations,” the statement read.
Gauteng Provincial Police spokesperson Brigadier Amanda Sibeko confirmed that Blue Mbombo had opened a case against Nokwane. She said Nokwane was arrested and appeared at Midrand Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 1 June 2026.
According to information received, Mbombo obtained the protection order against Nokwane after he allegedly sent her a picture of a dead man in a coffin in one of the most chilling intimidations ever recorded in South Africa’s celebrity world. He also allegedly forced Mbombo to terminate two pregnancies and broke into her house to remove her furniture after suspecting her of cheating.
Speaking to Africa Daily a source said that in August 2020 Mbombo fell pregnant with the businessman’s first child. But he allegedly intimidated her and forced her to have an abortion and to never tell anyone about it.
The source alleged that in 2021 he impregnated her again and she gave birth in 2022 after he allowed her to keep the pregnancy. But he changed his mind when she conceived for a third time and allegedly tricked her into terminating the pregnancy in May 2023.
The tipster alleged that Mbombo developed fear toward the businessman after he started harassing and emotionally and verbally abusing her. For example, the informant said when Mbombo failed to answer his calls, he would send her text messages claiming she was giving another man oral sex while counting his money.
He would also send messages claiming she was “seeing other men in a biblical sense without protection”.
Things reached an alarming point when the businessman sent her a “view once” image on 22 February 2026. When she opened it, it showed an image of a Black man in a coffin.
“She said she understood the picture of a Black man in a coffin to be a death threat or to instil fear in her because the picture was accompanied by a caption with the words: ‘U will regret this. Trust me.’ This scared her,” the source said.
The source said the businessman did not stop there. It is alleged that on 22 February 2026 he sent her another “view once” text message with the words: “U think this is a joke I see. U don’t really know me! U are f***, both of you!” This also left her in fear, the source said.
The source further alleged that the businessman broke into Mbombo’s rented property in Waterfall, north of Joburg, and took her furniture between 21 and 22 February 2026 while she was out of town. He also allegedly installed a tracking device on her on 23 February 2026.
