Judgment has been reserved in businessman Brown Mogotsi’s application for bail based on new facts.
This was revealed by National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole in a media statement on Friday.
The NPA said it has concluded its cross-examination in the second bail application, which is being heard in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.
Mogotsi faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm in a built-up area, defeating or obstructing the administration of justice, and perjury, arising from an alleged shooting incident in Vosloorus where it is alleged that he faked his own assassination attempt.
The matter was postponed to 22 September 2026 for judgment.
