Award-winning journalist and broadcaster Heidi Giokos has joined the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as a presenter of the weekend edition of Fullview.
The public broadcaster announced Giokos’ appointment on Monday, saying her arrival would strengthen its commitment to delivering credible and impactful journalism to audiences across the country.
Giokos, who was fired from ENCA recently, is an established journalist, television presenter and broadcaster with extensive experience in business, financial and current affairs reporting.
She has built a reputation for breaking down complex economic, business and social issues and making them accessible to audiences.
The SABC said her journalism was characterised by accuracy, balanced reporting and a strong commitment to telling stories that matter.
As a presenter, interviewer and facilitator, Giokos brings years of experience and a confident on-air presence to the broadcaster.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and an Honours degree in Communications.
SABC News Group Executive Deidre Uren welcomed Giokos to the public broadcaster.
