Limpopo investment conference highlights progress since 2021

Limpopo will host the 6th Limpopo Investment Conference on Thursday, 15 October 2026, with Deputy President Paul Mashatile expected to deliver the keynote address and officiate the launch of the InvestSA One Stop Shop in the province.

The conference, hosted by the Limpopo Provincial Government through the Limpopo Economic Development Agency, will take place at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane under the theme, “From Pledges to Progress: Accelerating Implementation and Unlocking Investment in Limpopo.”

Since the conference was launched in 2021, Limpopo has recorded cumulative investment pledges of R452.38 billion between 2021 and 2025. Of this amount, R71.058 billion has been realised, contributing to the creation of 23,968 jobs.

The investment drive has supported economic activity across key sectors, including mining beneficiation, agro-processing, manufacturing, localisation and industrial development. The province has also identified opportunities in renewable energy, automotive industries, legally compliant cannabis-related activities and digital technology.

The annual conference has provided a platform for government, investors, development finance institutions and other stakeholders to promote Limpopo as an investment destination, mobilise capital and improve coordination around major projects.

The 2026 gathering will focus on converting pledges into bankable and operational projects, while addressing regulatory, financing and administrative challenges that delay implementation.

The launch of the InvestSA One Stop Shop Limpopo is expected to further benefit the province by giving investors a centralised platform to access government services, navigate approvals and resolve investment-related bottlenecks. The facility is intended to improve the ease of doing business, speed up project implementation and strengthen investor confidence.

Through these initiatives, Limpopo has benefited from increased investment commitments, realised capital, job creation and stronger collaboration between government and the private sector. The province now aims to build on this progress by ensuring that more pledged investments translate into sustainable businesses, expanded industries and inclusive economic growth.
