Godly driven, inspired and motivated international gospel performer Vashawn Mitchell was the talk of the town as he set foot in Durban, South Africa, to launch his new album titled, The Secret Place this week.
He said he was ecstatic about kicking off his tour in his favourite city, Durban.
It was his second time in South Africa. Since leaving Durban earlier this week he has been performing all over the country and told Africa Reporter that his heart was in Africa.
Inspired by Durban and what it offers, the Grammy winner artist said he was inspired by the devotion of the public to his music and the inspiration they took from it.
The singer has also shared the stage with numerous gospel artists but when asked which one was his favourite, he said he supported Fantasia.
“I have collaborated with so many amazing artists but I guess my favourite collaboration would have been Fantasia, because I know that she’s definitely from the church and every time she sings it’s just soulful.”
At Durban North Rhema Church he wowed the crowd with his soulful voice and captured the hearts of many with his meaningful lyrics.
