Nedlac hosts its 26th Annual National Summit

Gauteng, South Africa: The National Economic Development Labour and Council (Nedlac) has taken heed of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call in his address to the nation on Sunday, November 28, 2021, to host its 26th Annual National Summit, virtually on December 07, 2021.
The President announced that mass gatherings such as major conferences and meetings, especially those that require a large number of people to be in close contact over extended periods, should be changed to virtual format.
Initially the Nedlac leadership planned to have a blended/hybrid event, including physical delegate attendance, online participation, and to livestreaming the event. Due to the emergent of the Covid Omicron variant, Nedlac has decided to pivot its conference to an online event for the safety of its guests and to adhere to health protocols.
The keynote speaker at the Summit will be Deputy President Mr David Mabuza.
Also speaking will be Thulas Nxesi, Minister of Employment and Labour, Valli Moosa, Deputy Chair of the Presidential Climate Change Coordinating Commission, Mzwanele Ntshwanti, Economist and Lecturer, and Professor Koleka Mlisana, Chairperson of the Ministerial Advisory Committee (MAC) of Covid-19, and Executive Manager Research and Quality Assurance at the National Health Laboratory Service.
The summit will be held under the theme: “Recovering and Rebuilding Together”.
