KZN Health MEC to welcome Christmas babies
December 24, 2019
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa: Tomorrow the KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu will welcome into the world babies born on Christmas Day at Estcourt Hospital (on the KZN Midlands).
In welcoming the new-born babies, the MEC will also hand over gifts to the mothers; while also paying tribute to the healthcare workers who are working and remain dedicated to ensuring better health outcomes, even during the festive season.
As efforts to prevent teenage pregnancy continue in the province, MEC Simelane-Zulu will also be keeping a keen eye on the age of those who impregnate girls under the age of 18, and share her thoughts on what should happen to them.
