KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa: It’s nearly time for the annual Ugu Jazz Festival 2019, one of the KZN South Coast’s flagship events.

The Ugu Jazz Festival, which is set to take place on 29 June at Ugu Sport & Leisure Centre, draws thousands of music lovers to the destination to enjoy various genres of jazz music performed live by local and international artists.

Through leveraging these flagship events, Ugu South Coast Tourism is able to position the KZN South Coast as a major events destination, create exposure for the destination and is able to unlock, through its marketing support of the events, economic benefits for the region through tourism.

The Ugu Jazz Festival 2019 will this year be presented and organised by Eyadini Events, and expectations are high to produce a thrilling show. With an excellent line-up that features artists such as Lira, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Judith Sepuma, Mafikizolo and Thandiswa Mazwai, festivalgoers are in for a great experience.


Other artists that are sure to make the Ugu Jazz Festival a must-see include Sjava, Berita, Mahotella Queens, Zahara, Unathi Mbuso Khoza, Brenda Mtambo, Nduduzo Makhathini, Umkhumbane Malini, Lady Zamar, Shekhinah, Afro Soul, Mlindo, Naima K. Munto, DJ Siyanda, Mshedisi and Bongani Kwanyane.


Tickets are available at Computicket and are R280, with R350 for Golden Circle and R1,200 for VIP. Cooler boxes will be allowed at a R100, but no glass bottles. VIP tickets include lunch, supper and open bar until 6pm with drinks on offer.
