UK solo exhibition promises not to disappoint

United Kingdom: Motion picture lovers and film enthusiasts are expected to gather together under one roof to look at the works Basma Alsharif captured in captivating and gripping moving images that will leave one empowered and inspired.

The Film director of Palestinian origin will for the first time open her first UK solo exhibition titled: The Gap Between Us.

The screening will take from January19 -31 March, 2018 at the Mosaic Rooms, Tower House, 226 Cromwell Road, London SW5 0SW.

The Los Angeles based artist will showcase three films from different periods of her practice and Alsharif’s first feature length film titled Ouroboros, will be screened.

Speaking about what the audience cane anticipate, Curator Rachael Jarvis said: “Alsharif’s films offer us new ways to encounter familiar subjects and representations of history, conflict and subjectivity. Her experimentation with the form of moving image, its

relationship with text and sound, have created a uniquely poetic and powerful practice.”

The multi-talented artist is well known for developing work that seeks to challenge mass mediated imagery and preconceived ideas.

Her projects are also known to incite the viewer and give them a life changing experience as it leaves them affected by the act of looking and active in the narrative experience.
